Vega Synthauri, written by composer Daniele Pace and Corrado Conti for their brief but groundbreaking project Donna Laser, is often regarded as one of the most significant electronic tracks in Italo-Disco. Its well-planted drums, rabid synthwork and charmingly spooky, pre-quantized arpeggiations are done thorough justice on this reissue. Grace Kelly’s Song, meanwhile, is more reminiscent of an Italian soundtrack cut, a slow jam recalling vague memories of Lake Como unwinding in some late ’80s summer. – Juno
